Base package includes Gemini 2.5 Pro, GPT-5.1, and Claude Haiku 4.5. Premium models available: Claude 4.5 Opus (for long documents and templates), Gemini 3.0 Pro (1M+ context for large codebases), and DeepSeek V3.2 (for fast queries and code generation). Compare multiple models side-by-side for diverse perspectives and ground-truth reasoning across your most critical decisions.
Secure Workspace File Management
Upload and organize documents in structured folders within your secure workspace. Supported file types include PDF, DOCX, DOC, CSV, XLS/XLSX, TXT, JSON, Markdown, SQL, images, HTML, Python, and PowerPoint, with more formats coming soon. Select specific files or entire folders to provide context for your queries. Files sync automatically every 24 hours.
Custom Personas for Consistent Expertise
Create personas with Name, Focus, and Prompt fields that define Smith's role, tone, and expertise. Save them as personal or shared resources across your team. Transform Smith into a financial analyst, legal researcher, operations strategist, or any specialized role your organization requires—ensuring consistent AI behavior across teams.
Prompt Library
Access built-in prompts designed for common business scenarios like market analysis and strategic planning. Click any prompt to auto-populate your chat input and start immediately. Custom prompt creation and sharing are coming soon.
Getting Started: Your First Conversation
Follow these steps to start using Smith. Remember, you don't need to upload files first—Smith works perfectly as a standard chatbot, with file context available when you need it.
Select Your AI Model
Click the Model dropdown in the prompt input area (bottom of screen). Choose from multiple available models, select several for side-by-side comparison, or leave it blank to let Smith auto-select. Each model has different strengths—GPT excels at complex reasoning, Claude at detailed analysis, Gemini at processing speed and large contexts, DeepSeek at fast code generation.
Choose a Persona or Prompt (Optional)
Use the Persona dropdown next to the Model selector, or switch to the Personas tab to browse and create custom personas. You can also switch to the Prompt Library tab to select from pre-built prompts—clicking one auto-populates your input field to get you started quickly. Custom prompt creation and sharing are coming soon.
Add Files for Context (Optional)
Upload documents using the + icon in the prompt input area, or organize files in the left panel's file tree. After uploading, the system needs time to index your files before you can query against them. Check the boxes next to specific files or folders to include them in your query context. Smith will analyze these documents when generating responses grounded in your ground-truth data.
Adjust Settings (Optional)
Click the settings gear icon to access chat configuration. Enable Memory to retain context across follow-ups. Adjust Creativity (Temperature): choose Low (0.0) for factual work, Medium (0.5) for balanced responses, or High (1.0) for creative brainstorming.
Type Your Question and Send
Enter your question in the prompt input area and click the send arrow. Watch Smith's response stream in real-time. Continue with follow-up questions—you can have 30+ exchanges per conversation thread. Use Chat history (top right) to resume previous conversations.

Enable Memory via the settings gear icon to allow Smith to retain and reference information from earlier in your conversation. This maintains context across follow-up questions, creating more coherent and personalized responses throughout your session without having to repeat yourself.
Temperature Control (Creativity)
Adjust Creativity in settings to control response randomness: Low (0.0) produces safe, direct answers for facts and calculations; Medium (0.5) balances accuracy with flexibility; High (1.0) generates varied, creative responses ideal for brainstorming and storytelling.
Chat History & Thread Management
Smith automatically saves all conversations. Click Chat history (top right) to search, resume, or delete individual chats. Each thread supports 30+ Q&A exchanges. When a thread reaches capacity, use thread summarization to carry context into a new conversation.
Export & Sharing
Export conversation threads to Word or PDF documents for sharing with colleagues and stakeholders. Copy individual responses to your clipboard for quick reuse. You can even upload exported results back to your workspace for future reference and analysis.
Complete Audit Logs
Enterprise organizations maintain full audit trails of all Smith interactions—who asked what, which models were used, which files were referenced, and when. Complete governance visibility and compliance documentation for regulated industries.

You Own Your Data
